The Coming Day of the Lord
The phrase “day of the Lord” identifies events that take place at the end of history (or the end of time) and is often linked with the phrase “that day.” Understand that these phrases always identify a span of time during which God personally intervenes in history, directly or indirectly, to accomplish specific aspect of His plan. The day of the Lord is a period that will occur when God’s will and purpose for His world and for mankind will be fulfilled.
